Back to all topicsCasa Cabopino Retreat is a holiday home in Artola, near Cabopino, in Marbella East on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. It sits in a quiet residential community close to Cabopino Beach, Cabopino Marina, the protected Artola Dunes and several golf courses. The exact address is shared with confirmed guests.
Yes. Cabopino lies within the municipality of Marbella, at its eastern end, close to the boundary with Mijas Costa. Artola is the residential area just inland from Cabopino Beach and the marina. Marbella East is the wider coastal stretch between Marbella town and that boundary, with a calmer pace than the centre and Marbella Old Town about 20 minutes away by car. How Artola, Cabopino and Marbella East fit together.
Playa de Cabopino and Cabopino Marina are about 2.4 kilometres away: approximately 6 minutes by car, or around 30 minutes on foot depending on your route and pace. The boardwalks of the Artola Dunes run alongside the beach. Beach towels, six foldable beach loungers and a parasol are ready for you at the house. Beaches and dunes near the house.
Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is roughly 35 to 45 minutes by car, depending on traffic and the time of day. Most guests collect a hire car at the airport and drive straight to the house.
Marbella Old Town and Puerto Banús are both approximately 20 minutes by car in normal traffic; allow extra time on summer evenings. For a dinner out, a taxi or ride-hailing app is usually the easiest way to get there and back.
Yes. There is a supermarket within walking distance of the house, and Cabopino Marina, about 6 minutes away by car, has restaurants and cafés by the water. A wider choice of supermarkets, restaurants and beach clubs lies along Marbella East. Our favourite places to eat and drink.
The house and sleeping arrangements

Back to all topicsCasa Cabopino Retreat sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Two bedrooms each have a 160 × 200 cm double bed, and the master bedroom has a 180 × 200 cm bed that can also be made up as two singles.
Both are possible in the master bedroom: its 180 × 200 cm bed can be made up as two 90 × 200 cm single beds instead. The other two bedrooms each have a 160 × 200 cm double bed. Let us know before you arrive which set-up you prefer.
Yes. One double bedroom and a full bathroom are on the ground floor, next to the living area and the terrace. The master bedroom, the second double bedroom and the second bathroom are on the first floor.
In the bedrooms: bed linen, extra pillows and blankets, hangers, wardrobe space and blackout curtains. In the bathrooms: towels, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. The kitchen has an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, blender, coffee maker and wine glasses, with oil, salt, pepper and coffee to start with. The house also has a washer-dryer, a drying rack, an iron with ironing board, a TV and a games console. Outside you will find garden furniture, an outdoor kitchen with sink and gas barbecue, and beach towels, six foldable loungers and a parasol.
Yes. Bath towels, bed linen, soap and toilet paper are provided, and there are beach towels for the pool and the beach, so you do not need to pack your own.
Yes. The three bedrooms and the living area have air conditioning that cools in summer and heats in the cooler months, so the house is comfortable all year.
Only outdoors, and they are not ours. The residential community has security cameras that watch the shared street and the entrance, and part of the front terrace may be in view. We do not operate any cameras ourselves, and there are no cameras inside the house. Inside you will find a smoke detector, a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit.
Yes. Wi-Fi covers the house, and the master bedroom has a desk, a chair and an external monitor. A few working days fit easily into a stay. Planning a longer stay? Stays of a month or more are possible on request.
Yes, longer stays are possible on request, for example a month of winter sun. Email info@casacabopinoretreat.com with your dates and the number of guests and we will send you a personal proposal.
Rooftop jacuzzi and shared pool
What is private, what is shared and how it all works through the year.
See the roof terrace and outdoor spaces on the retreat page.
Back to all topicsYes. The roof terrace and its jacuzzi belong to the house and are used only by the guests staying at Casa Cabopino Retreat. The rooftop faces southwest, so you can watch the sunset from the water, with the Mediterranean beyond the white rooftops.
Yes. The jacuzzi is heated all year and included in every stay, so it is as much part of a November stay as a July one. Guests can set the water temperature up to a maximum of 40 °C.
A few, for safety and for the neighbours: no glass on the rooftop (plastic drinkware is provided), children only under direct adult supervision, and quiet voices during quiet hours from 22:00 to 09:00. The full list is in our house rules.
The pool is shared. It belongs to the residential community and is used by residents and other guests. It is open all year; the opening hours are set by the community and shown at the pool entrance. The pool lies a little higher up within the complex, a short walk from the house. There is no separate children’s pool, and the pool isn’t designed for young swimmers, so children should always swim with an adult.
Parking, car use and airport transfers
Getting here, parking at the house and whether you need a car.
Distances to the beach, golf and Marbella are on our Cabopino and Marbella East guide.
Back to all topicsWe recommend one. The beach and marina are within walking distance, around 30 minutes on foot, but a car makes the golf courses, Marbella and the wider Costa del Sol easy to reach. For evenings out, a taxi or ride-hailing app is the simpler choice.
Yes, and parking is easy. One private parking space beside the house is reserved for you, and there is almost always free parking in the street nearby. The garage is not available to guests.
That is no problem. There is almost always a free space in the street close to the house, so a second car is easy to park at no cost.
No, we do not arrange transfers. A hire car collected at Málaga Airport is the most practical option for the stay. Taxis wait at the airport, and private transfers can be booked in advance with a transfer company of your choice.

The closest courses and what the house offers a golf group.

Back to all topicsSanta María Golf is approximately 6 minutes by car and Cabopino Golf Marbella approximately 8 minutes. Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort (formerly Marbella Golf Country Club), Miraflores, Río Real and Santa Clara are within about 15 minutes; see our guide to the golf courses near Cabopino. Families, children and accessibility
Honest answers about stairs, children and who the house suits.
The full house rules cover children, the pool and the rooftop.
Back to all topicsYes, with some care. The house has three bedrooms, including a double bedroom with a full bathroom on the ground floor, and blackout curtains in every bedroom. A baby cot is in the house, and a travel cot with sheets and a baby bath can be provided on request; there is no high chair. The house is arranged over several levels connected by stairs, with a balcony, terraces and a rooftop jacuzzi, and there are no stair gates, so young children need supervision at all times. The shared pool has no separate children’s pool, so children should always swim with an adult.
Yes, it is a popular choice for families. Cabopino Beach is a wide, sandy beach beside Cabopino Marina, about six minutes from the house by car, with a large free car park, beach bars and sunbed hire nearby. The water by the marina is usually calm, but conditions change, so follow the beach flags and keep children within reach. Further east the beach runs into the protected Artola Dunes, and part of that stretch is used by naturists. Six foldable beach loungers and beach towels are kept at the house for guests.
Partly. The ground floor has a double bedroom, a full bathroom, the living area and the terrace. The first floor and the rooftop jacuzzi are reached by stairs only, and the shared pool lies higher up within the complex. Please email us about specific needs before you book.
No. Pets are not allowed at the house or in the community pool area. Recognised assistance animals are the exception; please contact us before booking.
